Privacy Policy

Your events are full of personal details. Here's exactly how we treat them.

Last updated: July 12, 2026

1. Who we are

Fêteio ("we", "us", "our") provides an event planning platform for professional planners at feteio.com and app.feteio.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

For personal information that planners enter about their clients, guests, and vendors, the planner is the data controller and we act as a processor on their behalf — we handle that information only to provide the Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, business name, and password when you create an account.

Event content — the information you enter into the platform to run your events: timelines, guest lists and seating assignments, vendor names and contact details, budgets, checklists, song requests, intake form responses, contracts, invoices, and any files or logos you upload.

Billing information — subscription plans are billed through Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment card details under its own privacy policy; we receive only limited information such as the last four digits of your card, billing status, and invoices.

Communications — messages you send us through the contact form or by email, and your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.

Usage and device data — standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and approximate region, collected through server logs and privacy-conscious analytics to keep the Service secure and understand how it is used.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process payments and manage subscriptions; respond to your messages and provide support; send transactional emails such as receipts, security notices, and important service updates; send our newsletter if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email); and protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your event content for advertising.

4. Public pages you choose to share

The Service lets you publish selected content — such as timelines, seating charts, and request forms — to shareable pages protected by links and optional PINs. Anyone with the link (and PIN, where set) can view that content. Think carefully about what you publish, and use the built-in vendor and client PIN separation to limit what each audience can see. You can unpublish shared pages at any time.

5. When we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only to the extent needed: Vercel (website and application hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (transactional email and newsletter delivery). Each provider processes data under its own contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Fêteio or others, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy will continue to apply to information collected before the change).

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service to function — for example, keeping you signed in to app.feteio.com. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on our marketing site.

7. Data retention

We keep your account information and event content for as long as your account is active. If you cancel or your account is terminated, we delete or anonymize your data after a reasonable retention period, except where we must keep it longer for legal, tax, or accounting reasons. You can export key event content (for example as PDFs) at any time while your account is active.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your sharing PINs private.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@feteio.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct — and, as noted above, we do not sell personal information.

If a planner has entered your information into Fêteio (for example, you are a guest or vendor for an event), we may direct your request to the planner, who controls that data.

10. Children

The Service is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Guest information entered by planners (such as seating assignments) should be limited to what is necessary to run the event.

11. International transfers

Our service providers may store and process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
